Hi all ! I'm looking to purchase a used terios and am considering this car advertised on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300617532700?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_702wt_1398 . The seller is a bit vague about the engine type (I've read somewhere that there is an age dependant choice of motor ie either sohc or dohc ) and I wonder if someone here can confirm via the pics which one this is. I notice from the photos also that it appears to be wearing steel wheels as opposed to alloys and I wonder if this is usual too 
I'd be keen on the car if it was the timing chain variety rather than a belt as that can be an expensive replacement.
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated and you'll soon know if I buy the car because I'll be on here lots for more help !!!

Engine type
Hi, The Terios in this link has the good Toyota DOHC engine, The year that the new style engine was fitted was in 2000 so W or X reg could have one or other. Easy way to check in engine size 1296cc is old Sohc and 1298cc for Dohc. Hope this helps. Cheers Cus
