The rev counter on my gtti,s cluster hasnt workd since buying the car. I tryed putting in a known working cluster but same problem, everything else works fine on it, im guessing a cable disconnected in the engine bay somewere? or the link hasnt been set for it? any insight would be great. Cheers.

Very common fault, they all fail at some stage.
Even fitting the new one they can break in the process.
It's dry joints or the coil windings.
Most people just fit a aftermarket tacho that works with 3 cylinders
but wen i put the cluster
but wen i put the cluster back in old car and started it up the rev gauge works fine.
