Hi
My 2001 terios has the engine management light on. The code read as po133, so a new lamba sensor was fitted, however the light comes back on after a day or so? The car appears to drive normally when the light is on? What else could it be?

What make and type of Lambda
What make and type of Lambda did you fit? Was it new, genuine or aftermarket?
There are 2 so which one was changed?

Hi It was fitted just before
Hi
It was fitted just before I bought the car, it is identical to the old one which came with the car (the same plug etc) so I think it was new and genuine. I will check in the morning for a part number or name.
I read and cancelled the code last night ( after driving the car home from buying it), the code hasn't come back on yet but the prev. owner said it could take a few days.
I didn't realise there were 2 sensors fitted
I assumed the new one was the one fitted on the exhaust manifold, visable under the bonet.
Where is the other and would the code reader give different codes for each one
Many thanks
The other sensor is either on
The other sensor is either on the exhaust front section or just after the first silencer depending on model.
Usualy the upper sensor would be called Bank 1 and the lower Bank 2.

It could be dodgy or corroded
It could be dodgy or corroded wiring as this sends a pulsed resistance signal, any corrosion or a bad connection will increase the resistance so the ECU will be getting the wrong signal.
Check all the plugs along the wiring route, unplug and clean with electrical cleaner only, DO NOT USE WD40 as this corrodes copper (connections and wiring) over time and is a common mistake people make. Once cleaned and reassembled coat the connector plugs with Waxoyl as this is electrically inert and rustproofs the connections. Do not use Waxoyl on or near the exhaust as it is flammable.
