Help needed with fueling issue

Hi all, im having a few problems with my 92 fourtrak 2.8tdx. ive changed the engine, and the fuel filter, now i cannot get fuel back through the system for it to start

does anyone know how to get these things running?

what stuff have you tried? do you know about the hand pump on top of the filter?!?!?!

i have tried hand pumping it, got to the point where i thought it was broken, so changed the filter housing unit/hand pump with a spare one i have from my doner vehicle, still not luck. i took the pipe off the filter housing that feeds from the tank, sucked on the pipe and diesel came rushing through. but still not coming through, ive tried using the bleed screw on the filter housing/hand pump unit and ive tried cracking the injectors off.

i did drag it down the road last night with my other car, which did help it as i managed to get it running for a few seconds, foot flat to the floor, not quite at 1000 rpm. however my other car doesnt have the power to tow the fourtrak for long as its very heavy!

any suggestions are much appreciated

it might be that you have some muck/restriction on the fuel feed or an air leak in the pipe allowing it to run back, or the injection pump hasnt got much of a suck/seal on it.

i have now managed to get it started, there was a small crack in the metal fuel pipe, so i have replaced it with rubber.

Rubber

Rubber rots. Then leaks and catches fire. Did you get the tube from a motor shop or just a 'bit of rubber'? Take care.

thats where all car makers went wrong,they used rubber fuel hose in places and now they catch fire.
