I have a Hi-Jet 1.3 EFI on a Y plate & want to change the thermostat but have no idea where it is located.

under the handbrake
I think it's under the hand brake roughly, so you may have to take that part of the body work off. i'm in the process of trying to get mine out this weekend. so i'll let you know if it's stll an issue.
perhaps someone with more experience can help us both lol

Yep as I suggested, be careful when trying to get the hose off the thermostat housing, mine snapped. plenty available though on the interweb. lol

On the 1000cc Its at the back of the engine, To get to it open back doors pull the carpet back Next to the seats and you will see the cover. Take the bolts out. Its sealed with some black stuff. Is it overheating?

Hi - I have a 2002 1.3 Hi-jet and have to check/replace my thermostat due to overheating problems - I was told it was located under the alternator
