Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me.

I have a burning smell when I turn the heating on. It seems to only come when the heating is set to draw the air from outside the car (not when set to inside). I have also noticed that my windows seem to be really steamy and the heating doesn't seem to be clearing them anymore.

I have checked for any obvious leaks in the engine and I don't see anything.

Basically I was wondering if this means it is a heating matrix problem?

If so has anyone replaced it on a sirion because I will be doing the repair myself. I understand it is supposed to be a time consuming pain in most cars but unfortunately I don't have any other option due to the money at this time of year.

If you don't think I'm on the right track would you be able to advise me on another direction.
