2" lift shackles know its been talked about but need dimensions etc

Forum:

hi everyone got a sportrak with a 1" body lift and some 255 70 15's on and want a bit more lift as i get a bit of rub over the rougher stuff so please can someone email the dimesions (drawings) to make the 2" lift shackles for the rear and what sort of steel they should be made from as i have a friend who is a metal engineer/fabricator just done my tubular steel rear bumper and rear lights from a trailer mounted on tailgate so please some1 send me the specs / dimensions or drawings for the lift shackles

Fit some 3+1 rear springs

Fit some 3+1 rear springs from Milner off road, then a wind the torsion bars up. http://www.milneroffroad.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=19_307_3064_3939&product_id=5051

Should be good for what you want, but those tyres will rub the lower parts of the rear and front arches on partial lock, unless you go bigger with the lift.

I`ve 255/75r15 on mine, and I`ve those springs, and a 3 inch body lift too and there is enough room JUST lol. But I`ve had to make arch extensions to keep the tyres legally covered in the wings. But seeing as my body is 3 inches higher I`m going to make a new winch bumper and that again should help offroad.

Mud makes excellent Toothpaste.

I personally would stay away

I personally would stay away from the miners springs as I got some for my f75 and they were absolute dogger. They were too stiff and after 3 months they had buckled and had only been used on road. I got some from Bloodredoffroad.com and they were awesome. They had loads of articulation and were used offroad. When I get another leafer I will be getting some more of these, they were only abit dearer than the miners value wise there was no comparison. Bloodred also do shackles if you want to have a look at them and compare the costs. There's will probably be abit more hitec than yours cos he gets them CNC machined and crossed drilled and powder coated so will obviously cost more but it gives you food for thought

Just measure the distance

Just measure the distance between the centres of the existing shackles pins and add 2" to this measurement, you could even measure in metric and add 50.78mm.
