Problem fitting after market stereo on Daihatsu Sirion 1998 reg

Forum:

Hi all,

First of all I'd like to say Hi! - Just signed up to the forums.

I've tried to install a new after market (sony) stereo to my girlfriends Sirion. I think that the fuse has gone on it but i can't work out which fuse would be the right fuse..

When i plug the new stereo in, i don't get any form of lights, sounds etc. When i put the old one back in, i see a kinda flea light when the facia is off to see there is some power, but now that won't turn on properly either, but i'm not 100% sure if it could be a fuse problem :S

I bought a new iso adapter to fit after market stereos and i've tried swapping back to the old cable to see if that resolved the problem (to no avail Sad )

I thought it may have been the accessory fuse (think that may have been the lighter socket though Sad Can't seem to see any other fuses that may relate to it.

Would be really grateful if anyone could point out anything for me or happens to know what the fuse name / location is (p.s. couldn't see anything helpful in the owners manual).

Kindest regards,
Matt

There should be two feed's (+)wire's going to the radio (stereo) one from the ACC which turns it on with key, and one from battery (standby) when its turn off by the key, if the clock works then the fuse (10Amp) is alright, if not there will be a fuse inline to the battery.
