I have a Terios 1.3E 2002 and was recently told that it needed a new catalytic converter. Now this happens to cost £700 and to be honest I don't have that sort of money. However, the garage managed to "flush" out the cat with water and removed the white powder that was clogging it up, but they did say that it would not pass an MOT in the future until I got a new cat. This begs the question, what is causing the cat to clog up? Surely they must be able to look at the engine and sort it out? Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do about it? I have until August this year before the MOT is due but would like to get it sorted. Any help would be welcomed. Many thanks.
