fixing half arsed timing job

the person who gave me the sportrak had removed the head and cambelt as the headgasket had gone.

however the lines dont line up for the crankshaft pulley and block , and on the head that has been dismantled i remember the camshaft pulley didnt line up with its mark .

how do i fix his mess of a job Unknw

turn engine so it's close as

turn engine so it's close as possible to the markers, then remove belt, turn crank and camshaft into exact position, then refit and tension belt.

Rotate engine to double check tension and that it is still in correct position.
