Hi, I have a daihatsu hi jet 2001. It has just failed the mot on the nearside handbrake recording little or no effort. So Ive checked everything, the cable is moving, its been adjusted, the shoes are fine. Everything looks ok so I can't understand why its not working as well as the other side. Also the bakes passed so it should be fine.

Can anyone suggest anything that I could check. I am reluctant to by new parts as they are expensive and hard to get??
