Had a look at the off side caliper today as the car has been pulling to the nearside and MOT is looming. The lower bolt/slide that holds the caliper came out no problem but the top slide is completely siezed/rusted, presumably from the rear as the rubber seal on the front is still intact. A ring spanner on it won't budge it - it's just going to round it off. It really will not shift at all despite plenty of plus gas.
Does anyone have any good advice as to how to free this off so the caliper can be removed from the frame? Maybe then I could clean it up and re-use the caliper. Otherwise I'm going to have to try to cut through the slide/bolt and will need a new caliper and slide bolt. Are these slides/bolts readily available and if so from where?
