Forum:
Hi,
Last week the engine light came on and I got a cylinder 4 misfire code mentioning the coil on the OBD Computer. After replacing the coil, and resetting the light the light came back on again. I have tested the replacement coil and the spark plug. I gave the plug a clean as well, both work fine as the plug sparks, so does the original coil which I removed from the car.
As coil and plug sparks fine, Can anyone please put me in the direction of what it could be?
Thanks
Curt
Could be a coincidence. You
Could be a coincidence. You may have another type of fault. Only way to know is to have a look at what the code is.

Hi curt looked in the manual and this code has alot of other factors to be considered• Ignition system
• Injector
• Fuel pressure
• Compression pressure
• Valve clearance
• Valve timing
• Ion current sensor
• Engine coolant temperature sensor
• Open wire or short in engine wire
• Connector connection
• Manifold absolute pressure sensor
