Me and my Terios got a ride on a big truck today.... fortunately there were no Landies around to take pictures. put £20 petrol in at Sainsburys today and got about half amile before she started playing up....almost like running on 3 cylinders...but NOT. Vibrates like mad on tickover,parked can rev away but put it in gear and won't go above 2000 RPM/20MPH.
It is NOT going to a stealer - can't afford that so any ideas? I was suspecting one of the sensors,MAF or the Oxygen one on exhaust??
First I would drain the fuel
First I would drain the fuel and check for contamination, look for water by placing a sample in a glass jar and stand it for a couple of hours and if water is present you will see it on top of the water as they seperate.
With the current panic buying of fuel, many petrol stations have low tanks, condensation forms in the tanks over several years and with them being low you may have got a lot of water and petrol.Had a similar problem with one of our tanks several years ago when it ran low, when I owned petrol stations.

Manged to get a reading from the ODB connector by bridging it.... c ame up code 3.1 which, according to the manual is the MAP sensor faulty.
So disconnected it and it does drive slighlty better.
So though okay, take it off CLEAN it first....only now I can't get the damn thing off because they have used stupid scres with domed head and FIVE SIDED recess!!! HEEEELPP
