Hi!
My girlfriends Sirion has been having problems with the idle lately. It will rise to about 1200rpm and then fall to a complete stal....
I have changed the o2 sensor without any luck. Now I am looking at the idle air control valve, IACV or the TPS. Anyone with any info regarding these 2 components. Where are they located? I assume on the Throttle body?
Thanks

Hello. First off
Hello.
First off welcome.
Secondly, in the UK we dont have this model of car. Closest we had imported over from Japan was the 4WD 1.3 SL Sirion. Some were turned into the Sirion Rally 4 for the UK market. And the engine in these were the 1.3L 16V K3-VE2 engine. Step in here Bob if I have this one wrong
we did get the 1.0l EJ engine 2 wheel drive cars, so hopefully someone might be able to offer up some advice here.
Thirdly. We have had a few new memebers pop up on here asking for advice (In some cases Spamming with con products and e-mail links
), get given advice and we dont hear or see any of them again without even a thanks or how they got on.
Unfortunately this may have put some people off replying to your request for help. But also consider that in the UK this is what we call the Holiday season, so those in the know might be off on their Hols
Hope someone comes along to give you the answers you require.

Thanks mate.

I was googling for an answere for my problems and found your great page. I can not say I will be a regular here as the car is my girlfriends so I just deal with the issues as they come. I can tell you I will report back when I locate the problems.
So if anyone has any input it would be highly appreciated.
Have a great holiday
