Forum:
Folks,
Having messed around with motorised things since 1977, I'm almost ashamed to ask this question!
I'm trying to get the front grille off my Fourtrak. I can see a fastener behind the indicator light cluster. I've tried to remove the indicator cluster, having removed the screw inboard of the light that goes through the lens, but there appears to be something else preventing it's removal. The owners guide gives no clues. Any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation
Rob
Possibly a bolt at the back
Possibly a bolt at the back of the light on older models.
Cheers. It's a 1998. There

It's a 1998.
There are signs of two self-tappers going in, but their heads are not visible on the outside.

Clips
Here's what I remember.
On the 98 4Trak, the turn signals are screwed on to the grille. You have already unscrewed those.
Then the grill is clipped to the body with 2 pins that are part of the grille and are fastened into the grille frame. If I remeber correctly, it's a matter of pulling the grille upward to unclip (hope I am not miseading you). I am not with the 4Trak these days but wish I can send you some pics soon.
But by then you'll have probably solved your issue!
Cheers.
