Hi,

I have recently bought a DL-50 2.8td (gear driven cam) to put into my Land Rover, not having heard it run (ebay!!).

I have been giving it a once over before fitting it and firing it up. When I checked the valve clearances they were huge (ie 2-3mm!!) After having a further look the valves have eroded into the rockers quite severely. Has anyone experienced this issue with the fourtrak before, and is there a common cause of this or is it purely due to lack of adjustment/maintenance?.

Would any of you Daihatsu enthusiast happen to have spare rockers or rockers/shaft complete the would like to sell?? The ones from the DL-52 (belt driven cam) fit as I have checked with a mates fourtrak.
