I am looking for better globes of my YRV but not sure what to get? I am also considering HIDs but my knowledge is limit. What globes and make should I get if I decide to just upgrade the globes?
What HIDs kit must I look at if I want to go that route? I want bright white so that would be 4300 right? What else do I need to fit it?

Hi,
I have some modified Headlamps on mine at the moment. Managed to source some one off made by someone in Japan lights.
The headlights I sourced have been retrofited with HID Projector units with 35W 4300 H4 Bi-Xenon light bulbs and ballasts. The headlamp units are manaul adjustable which replace my auto levelling/electronic adjuster switch inside of the car.

Impressions:
- Make the look of the car a little more modern
This is due to the ballasts and being only plugged into the drivers headlight bulb socket, and a lead being connected directly to the live wire to the battery, the other light uses a harness to connect and power the other ballast.
- One of the halo side light CFLs failed after a couple of weeks
- Dipped beam is an improvement due to the projector units
- Full Beam isn't the best
- Full Beam dash light no longer works
Tried a gizmo from Australia which acts like a resistor which plugs into the vacant bulb socket to allow for the full beam light to work, but this just blew the fuse to the headlamps

I like the look! Thanks for the impressions! I can get HID 6000k H4(H/L) on this side and seems easy to fit but it doesn't have a projector unit in it though. It is just plug it into the current globe's wire and then 2 wires to the battery and that is it.

If you are to do a HID
If you are to do a HID upgrade then would seriously look at Projectors. You may find the light will be scattered in our standard Lights and reflectors.
