Daihatsu yrv Lower Ball Joint / arm

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me / direct me into where I can get hold of a lower ball joint for my yrv turbo. Also if it is a sealed unit in the arm or whether it can be knocked out and replaced. i noticed the play in the front drivers side wheel yesterday and it is due for an mot next week which it will definitely fail on as the play is quite excessive.

Any help and advice is appreciated, thanks guys.

Hi Paul,

Are you sure its the lower ball joint? Only reason I say this is it could be a front bearing giving you the excess play.
I recently had my rear bearing replaced during its recent service and sailed through its MOT this time Smile

Sealed unit. I'm afraid it is likely to be a dealer only item. I am not aware of any afternmarket brands that list the YRV bottom arm. Blueprint may I guess.

It won't be cheap.

I cannot imagine how a front bearing by design could give that sort of play. There would be so much rumble noise.

You are in luck. Just checked online with my Blueprint Live account,

Blueprint YRV front lower bottom arm..

Left hand, ADD68622
Right hand, ADD68625

Rubber Bush for arm ADD68002

All YRV models 1.0/1.3/Turbo use the same arms, So if you find alternative brands and the Turbo is not listed then it does not matter.

Out of a matter of interest where would you buy these from? If not from a dealer I take it your local parts emporium? or ebay?

As a matter of interest, the hole for the rubber bush where the anti roll bar fits into the arm...It looks like it could well be the exact same as the Charade GTti bush.
