I guess this is so when you turn normal lights on, the daylight ones go off.

I would prob go for easy option, wire them to a 2 way toggle switch (hidden if you like)

Using a ignition live feed to a switch. If you keep the switch turned on the daylight lights will switch on/off every time you turn ignition on.

Or with switch off, then they won't.

Just have to manually turn daylight ones off when main lights are on.
