Ok, as predicted the car did fail on the ball joint. Problem is that blueprint stopped producing these about 1 year ago and although they are still listed cannot be supplied. I have tried endless options and now have come to a stand still. I was informed that the copen one would fit but they do have a different part number so am reluctant to get one. So does anyone have a offside one for sale or can anyone help. The local daihatsu dealer wants £168 + vat which is actually worth more than the car!!! lol.

You just need to check various motor factors. Blueprint are not producers of parts, Just suppliers of parts that they buy in quantity from a producer in Japan and they put into their own boxes.
There are a lots of other parts suppliers who also do this.

My fault at mentioning Copen
My fault at mentioning Copen as I know the suspension bits such as the bushes from the Copen fit the YRV, and the actual bar appears to be similar to the YRV. If the mark 1 face lift sirion will fit, then give patch2spots a shout on eBay as he is always breaking the sirion model of car. Also I have seen on eBay the odd YRV lower control arm for sale as well.
Hope you get this one sorted Paul, as your Black YRV looks to be the part at the moment and would be a shame for it to be scrapped because of this.

I really would not waste time
I really would not waste time and money fitting a used suspension arm. Chances are it will also be junk. Plus a old arm may not be easy to remove due to corrosion.

Online automotive list them and say are instock but are not!! I called them today for them to tell me they have stopped production 1 year ago. I called loads of local factors but got told the same. I then called camskill and the guy said he cannot get them but told me to give a guy called Nathan Munns a call?? Lol. Anyway thanks to everyone who has helped me on this and have now managed to get one cheaply and car had only covered 20k. I know new would be better but simply cant afford to overspend with xmas round the corner. My lad wants a stunt scooter which costs £400!!! Bloody ridiculous, but has his heart set on it. Its not even gold plated!! Lol. Other than the joint, it failed on brake disc imbalance so managed to get some for only £33 and they are the 246 ones
