Daihatsu Cuore Alarm

Forum:

Hi all, have owned my Cuore for a good few weeks now and have noticed a couple of problems which may or may not be linked but hopefully someone can help. 1st off, occasionally the revs drop to below 400rpm and can cause the car to cut out and this happens whether the engine is hot or cold.

Secondly, and this only started yesterday, when the engine is switched off and a door opened a beeping has started? It sounds as though its coming from the drivers footwell. I have checked everything to make sure I haven't left anything switched on and it stops when the door is shut so isn't draining the battery but its rather annoying especially since it's never done it before.

Doe anyone have any ideas please?

Welcome. For the first

Welcome.

For the first problem this could be an Idle control sensor issue, and will be located where the throttle assembly is in the engine bay. It may need replacing or try first to remove (Very carefully) and clean up with some carb cleaner and replace.

For the second problem. Do you have fog lights on the car? Is the fog light switch being left on by accident? As on the YRV and other Daihatsu this is a warning buzzer to tell you that the fog light switch has been left on. Or simply are the side lights on?

Good luck. Smile
