Yrv turbo parts

Forum:

Hi guys, finding it hard to locate parts for my yrv turbo, I poped in to my local parts supplier , Lds ' they don't list a automatic gearbox filter , or a aux belt tensioner , my tensioner adjustic bolt decided to snap and now my belt is rattling around, I'd rather change it but gotta botch it for now till I can locate parts, any websites, phone numbers etc will be much apriatiated , but they will have to deliver , thanks guys

Main dealer only for those

Daihatsu dealer only for those parts. (unless wanting second hand)

Although the gearbox filter is very easy to cut a piece to shape if you buy some of the same filter media material.

The autobox filter is a main

The autobox filter is a main Dealer part. I managed to buy the last 4 in the UK at the time last year (As it took 3 months for Daihatsu UK to get any in from Japan) from my local dealership and had the autobox filter replaced when the ATF was replaced.
Something to bare in mind is that the filter itself is a 1 part unit with a plastic housing with the filter imbedded inside of the plastic unit. Nothing to say that Nathan is wrong with doing with what he describes, but the filter housing will need to be assessed first before attempting it.
Worth contacting your local Daihatsu Parts/Dealership place closest to you:

Daihatsu Dave identified this unit a while ago and his pictures of this unit can be found here on this site:

Good idea on the filter but rather oem replacement,
Every time I clicked on dauhatsu a message come up

It was announced on 13th January 2011 that sales of Daihatsu motor cars will cease across Europe on 31st January 2013. This is due to the ongoing strength of the Japanese Yen, which has increased prices beyond competitive levels. There is no stock of new Daihatsu cars in the UK, and we do not expect to import any new cars in this interim period.

However, we wish to reassure Daihatsu owners that all after sales services will continue unaffected. Therefore, the supply of spare parts will continue, and warranty work and servicing will be carried out at our official UK dealer network.

We thank Daihatsu customers for their past custom and loyalty, and share their disappointment at this news.

But now I have a iPad the map is loading and found a dealer near me, will be phoning them next month , I drilled and tapped the tensioner got my belt nice a tight now, I did the silly mistake of fitting the bigger listed belt , but it's on now and all is good for now, thanks guys you shone again
