Well its been a while since I have been on here but I finally got round to getting my YRV Turbo on the road again yesterday!
Loads of work done to it costing over £2500!
Auto Transmission removed and refitted with a new oil cooler.
Gearbox was striped, cleaned and reassembled with new gaskets, seals, pistons, clutch plates and filter.
New Torque Converter fitted.
New Cooler fitted.
New Fluids throughout.
New Front Brake Pads.
Exhaust and Sills welded.
2 x Driveshaft boot kits.
New Battery.
New Rear Brake Shoes.
Just got it MOT'ed and Taxed and was out yesterday. Forgot how much fun it was! Its certainly seems much better than when I first got it.
But all things come to an end and looks like I will be selling my YRV. The wife doesn't like it and wants a more "sensible" second car as we have recently had a wee one.
I will be listing it in the classified section if anyone knows anyone interested. A lot of work has been done and have garage bills (and empty wallet) to show. Not in a rush to sell though, looking forward to sometime with it again!
Glad I could save the YRV though...good to keep this rare car on the road!

Most would have given up and conciled it to the scrap man. Good on you 
But as you have put the effort in to get it road worthy again and with oil cooler mod installed on the Autobox the next owner is going in knowing that the car is ready for anything.
Shame you are now looking to sell though

Yeah its true I will never make the money back...never mind. It was a project that ended up costing more than I thought.
At least who ever buys it will have a decent YRV Turbo. But in no rush...I am happy to drive it around while I wait
I really want to start tinkering and changing things but want to keep it as standard as possible. Plus never make money back on mods and sort of out of pocket already.
