Has any one had one of theses problems or similar with the VVT have a noise on the timing chain/ then no oil pressure and will not start, hydrolic tentioner stuck out possable chain stretch and also do the valves hit on the vvt motors thanks any one can help

The chain is self adjusting.
It is a interference engine.
It does not have hydraulic valves, But buckets with shims.
It could be a few things but
It could be a few things but the K3-VE's do rattle. Mine comes and goes. Member Mick49 ages ago changed his VVT unit after a tip from Daihatsu Technical but the tensioner plunger could be the cause . . not sure if a bit of wear on the slide guides would produce an audible rattle. The Yaris is notorious for a rattle. Although Daihatsu reckon you dont flush VVTI engines, you could try and see if it makes a difference. Also what grade oil you using??
