Back in the snowy stuff, my 'trak was doing what it says on the tin and had lowered itself to do the shopping run to Waitrose. Looking good with the alloys and BFG AT2s (OK, it was covered in s**t, but that ain't the point ! ).

I was walking back to the vehicle and a modern people carrier stopped next to me. Inside was a fat 'dealer' type of guy with his fat sullen son sat in the front seat. After he asked me how much I wanted for the 'trak and my saying it was not for sale, he said that he had a 'trak of his own for a while but it had failed its MOT with a broken chassis.

'You should have looked after it,' I said.

Darn good job that I didn't sell it to him; he would have just run my tonka into the ground.
