Forum:
Hi Folks,
New to the forum. Onto our third daihatsu. I have a 2002 Sirion ej-de type engine if I recall. Its the 1.0 litre. Long story short the hazards are not working but the indicators are. The horn and hazards are on the same fuse, the horn works so the fuse is ok. I need to track down the relay for the hazards. I'm hoping its a simple problem with a dirty connection on the relay and nothing too serious. I cannot track down the relevant relay however. I dont have workshop manual and looking in the engine bay fuse box and in the fuse box under the column does not show anything obvious to me. (I'm not a mechanic as you can probably guess by now!)
Great forum, any help appreciated.

Push button?
It could be that the push button itself may have broken? maybe worth putting a multimeter across it. Button just pops off with a flat screwdriver
Thanks for the response
Thanks for the response Josh...I figured that out earlier. This is a first an when I realised what was wrong I was like wtf??! Turns out that the reason that the hazard lights are not working is that the switch is not connected to anything at all! Seriously! Whoever had the car previously must have forgot to connect up the wired cable to it, maybe when they were fitting a cd player perhaps. Anyway there is not sign of the connector and cable through the hole left in the dash when the hazard switch is removed.
I am going to have to pull out the dash centre console to have a rummage for the missing cable and connector.
Any ideas on how to remove the dash centre console without causing any damage to the plastic?
Thanks again for your help.
