F70/75 brakelights, fuses, etc

Forum:

Hi, All,

It's stupid question time!

Is there a fusebox on the 2.8DL (non turbo) anywhere? I've got a problem with my brakelights, they don't work at all, the bulbs are fine, the sidelights work OK, I was wondering if it might be a fuse?

I would check them, but I can't find any! Any ideas, Guys????

Cheers,

Bob Hewitt

Lights, fuses

The fusebox is down under the dash on the drivers side, easiest way to get at it is with drivers door open, kneel next to the seat and you will see it, right hand side against the door.
Good luck

Fuses, etc...

See, I told you is was a stupid question! Don't you feel a prat when it's so obvious - after someone's told you where to look, that is!

Cheers, mate, job done and everything works again!

brake lights

Fuses blow for a reason. The likely cause is damage to the rear loom chaffing near the fuel tank. If this happens again then check this rear loom carefully. This is a known problem with the F75. On mine it caused the wiper fuse to blow from the rear wiper wiring.

replacement

I need to replace the fusebox inside door, can anyone tell me if its simply connected to loom by multi-pin plug?
