hi .. i have a sparky/atrai 7 ..drove up to alton towers at the weekend , on the way back the o/d off light came on flashing ... i pulled over and put into park then into drive and the light went out .. since then it flashed the other night ...any ides ... i have checked the transmission oil which seems to be ok and the right colour (red)

When was the last time you had the autobox fluid and filter changed?
worth getting a fluid and filter chnage. Don't trust the reading from the dipstick, as when I change mine it was showing the same. In the autobox it was a black sludge.
Unfortunately Daihatsu Dealerships arn't aware of the need to service the autoboxes.
If you are getting a flashing 'D' light then this could symptons of a failling autobox I'm afraid
