Removal of Charade Radio

Forum:

Having had no success finding instructions on removing the radio from a Charade on the Internet and having found them from my dealer I will share the information. This is valid for a 2005 model.

Remove all heater knobs, including the one on the slider, by just pulling them off.

Remove the screw below the middle rotary control.

Pull the black plastic moulding forward, it should come off quite easily.

Removing the connection to the cigarette lighter is tricky so I just guided the moulding round and laid it in the driver's foot-well.

Remove the four screws that hold the radio/cubbyhole mounting in place and pull forward.

The radio is held in by two screws on the side of the mounting.

Refitting is the reverse of removing.

Same as the YRV

Virtually the same as the YRV. Noticed the radio is quite low down on the 2003-2007 Charade. And a few opt to have it reacted on the top part where the clock normally is placed.
