Just bought a sirion rally 2, questions

Forum:

Hi,
I am now the proud owner of a sirion rally 2. Its in pretty good shaape, but there is a few issues.
One of the front calipers slide pin has seized, I was just going to replace the pins, but I thought I might get the calipers restored as they look a bit tired, and the brakes seem a bit soft. I have read on other posts that some have done this, how much is it likely to cost me and can anyone recommend a good company.

Does anyone know where I can buy a workshop manual for the little car?

Is the clutch cable easy to adjust, as it seems a bit high up for my liking?
Also how easy is it to replace gearbox oil.

The 2 front wheels are buckled, has anyone got any recommendation for good repair companies, Or know where I can get a couple of replacement wheels.

The rear springs are about ready for replacement, can direct replacements be sort from daihatsu, I've heard stories of them providing standard sirion springs instead of the rallies versions?.

Finally is there anything I need to look out for, or needs extra maintenance?

Sorry for all the questions, I can be a bit OCD when it comes to cars.

Cheers for reading.

Ben

Welcome! Don't own a Sirion

Welcome!

Don't own a Sirion or a Sirion rally II or IV. But your not being OCD about these Wink as the saying goes, if you look after your car, your car will look after you.

Best person to answer your questions is a member on here by the name of 'Bobf', who is also one of the moderators. He currently owns a couple of Sirion rally IV's and has all the info you need Wink especially when it comes to springs, exhausts etc..

As for a manual, there isn't really an off the shelf one out there apart from the Daihatsu Manuals which again BobF will be along to possibly help you out with. Smile
