Can I replace my All singing, all dancing Bloody Useless vacuum controlled Transfer Box with the gear lever controlled manual transfer box, and would I have to change any of the Drive/Prop shafts.

yes, just swop them over,
yes, just swop them over, dead easy, worth every penny, nothing to convert or change etc etc, you may have to make a new gasket up with a sheet of gasket paper but thats easy as when the two boxes are split lots of oil falls out and you'll see where the gasket goes, clean the old one off, oil - ep90 will doo.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!

thanks for that, if I can find one I will give it ago, can it be done without removing the whole gearbox ?.
just seems that the vacuum system leaves too much to go wrong what with all the sections of pipes / vacuum solonoide switches / vacuum pump / and then off course the transfer box itself. at least with the manual transfer box its just the box.

yep its mounted on the rear
yep its mounted on the rear of the main box obviously and just bolted on, just use a trolley jack or something to support the gearboxes when you remove mounts and bolts, unbolt the prop shaft flange bolts too obviously.
