Forum:
Hi All,
Posted this on difflock too, but thought I'd add it here as well!
I need to do something with the upper control arm ball joints on my '96 Indy.
Looking at £88+VAT to replace each side, but that is for the whole control arm as the ball joint is part of it.
However, I have seen a manual (http://www.bmhor.org/fourtrak/manual.htm which won't load on my work PC, will get a screen shot at home later) showing an Indy (torsion bars) with removeable upper ball joints, similar to this video on Youtube:

or better seen here:

I'm a tad confused. Are the upper arms interchangeable between models so that I can replace my current all-in-one unit with a removeable balljoint unit? Can anyone shed some light on the differences?
Once again, any help greatly appreciated!

Edit:
Now thinking that the earlier Indy's had the removeable uppwer ball-joint arm - perhaps upto '93? Does anyone have one to compare?
