I have a suspicion the battery has gone flat on this. I can't open the car (if I use the key the alarm comes on). Any ideas for help!

Sounds like a 3rd party alarm add-on
Hi, unfortunately Daihatsu UK never fitted alarm systems to any of its cars as standard, especially the Sirion. I can only guess the alarm fob is not a proper Daihatsu key fob? Alarm systems can be fitted but as a 3rd party add on, and these maybe wired up in a certain way. I take it you only have 1 fob? Your best bet is to get a new battery for the fob and try that, apart from that I can't help. Sorry.
