In Russia winter mean ice. And we have ice race. Standart cars, standart tyres and fun! Also we have race summer. I has 4 second place last year with my Charade.

Real Winters

You get real winters!! Ours are a really tame by comparison so no chance for us to race around frozen lakes! Pity!! Smile

I have a Fourtrak (the 4x4, called Ruggers or Rockys outside of the UK) and I couldn't help but notice there seem to be quite a few in Russia?

Your message so hard for translate by me:).
Frozen lakes really great fun! But winter also freeze, 3 days ago was minus 30 degrees Celsius. In Barnaul(where i living) its other 30 degrees, rather than in England, but very cold. If someone will be in Barnaul winter, i promise some laps in one of our ice tracks!
Daihatsu never sells in Russia officially, and in Siberia wa have second hand cars from Japan. I see 1-2 Daihatsu per day in my city with 500,000 peoples , usually its YRV or Sirion. Russians not like small car, popular Toyota Camry, Toyota MarkII, we have so many SUV like Toyota Land Cruiser. I've see Rocky only in pictures, never in real life. We call big cars - dirigible ( in russian pronounce ).

Siberia?

Oh yes we have heard of Siberia! minus 30C is a nice warm day there! Smile

You should get a Fourtrak/Rocky/Rugger my friend! Perfect 4x4 (SUV) for minus 30C and, in the summer, take the roof off and it is also perfect for plus 30C !

I found this which I think is a Russian site?
