Hi ,
I have a 3 cylinder 1 litre 4 door 1998 Sirion that has an idle problem. I have just had it serviced and the Mechanic replaced all the brakes , rotors, spark plugs, leads and timing belt . All seems fine when you start the car but once it reaches normal operating temperature the idle starts going high and low every 5 seconds . the revs go up and down in a rhythmic timing . Any ideas on what is causing this?

Thanks for that , the little beast has done 260000 KM ! and still kicking on well, I have just recently bought it for my Daughter but really don't know its history . We are in Australia so I guess these parts are available here. can you give me some extra info on where they are placed on the motor , could they be just dirty or is this a common thing with this model car. What is a rough estimate of cost of part?
