Hi All,
Fourtrak 2.8 1998 - starts fine most of the time but every now and then when I turn the key to start it I just get a clicking solenoid type noise that comes from around the passenger side somewhere. If I try a couple more times it will eventually start fine. Hopefully it's just a dodgy solenoid 
Any Ideas / advice greatly appreciated

May be solenoid, but more likely worn brushes in the motor itself, about 10 minutes to change with the motor off and less than £10 a set from your local auto electricians.

The starting issues got worse so today decided to remove the starter. Turns out the positive terminal battery connector had a crack in it and was not tight.
Swapped this for a new heavy duty butterfly type connector and, touch wood, it now appears to be starting fine.
