Plastic Padding Chemical

Plastic Padding Chemical Metal.

Chemical resistant and fine for fuel tanks.

Find leak, drain tank, abrade back to bare metal and scuff to provide a good key with 40 grit paper, or an angle grinder with an abrasive pad, but clean a large area around the repair.

Mix only a small amount and apply a thin coat the same as body filler, be careful as it goes off very quickly, especially in summer or hot days.

Lightly sand smooth and abrade again with 40 grit.

Mix another small batch and go over your existing metal and cover, extend the second coat by 50%.

Allow to dry and repeat with a third coat.

Sand smooth for aesthetics and paint the tank.

Never put it on thick, always use 3 thin coats, and always leave overnight to fully harden.
