Sirion 1.0s 2006

Forum:

Hi and hello to you all.

We have just seen and wife has fallen in love with this car. It has done nearly 85000 miles and the dealer wants £2500 for it.

It only has the service history stamped up until 24000 though and the dealer couldn't tell us any more info on it. I didn't ask how many previous owners.

It looks very tidy inside and out and drives fine with no unusual noises that i could detect.

If we get the car the dealer will service it.

Is this a good price and if i do go ahead what should i do to make sure i have a fighting chance of keeping the car running for the foreseeable future?

It is a second car and will not cover more than 5000 miles in a year

We have seen another one near to us, though this is the 1.3 version with 61000 miles on it and is £1000 more expensive, but again not a full service history

Thanks in advance

If you just need a shopping

If you just need a shopping cart then 1.0 will be enough, but if you want to overtake someone from time to time it might be worth to go for the bigger engine.

I do have 1.3 one and it is reasonably swift. I've been with it allover Europe and it is reasonably powerful to climb mountains or to cruise steady at 75 mph on the motorway...

Mine has only 41 000 miles, but so far I only encountered one minor fault with aircondition system that I hope will be covered under warranty (as it is still beyond 5 years old)

I have to say it is brilliant when it comes to ergonomy, this is the first car that I have no problem to put my mobile, pen, wallet or can of juice in... Wink
