Hi I'm having trouble removing my air conditioning unit / stereo console from my Daihatsu Rocky.

I've removed the bolts and screws from under the console to remove the stereo but it feels like the top of the console is still firmly attached to the dash. Therefore I am unable to remove the air conditioning unit.

Do I need to remove the air conditioning vents to access hidden screws holding the top of the console in place?

Any advice you have is much appreciated as I have cracked part of the dash trying to remove console.
