My fathers Terios packed in on him there about 6months ago. The mechanic says he'll put one in if we can find one. The problem is that its the 2004 4x4 timing chain version (1.3 petrol). Have checked all the breakers in N and S of ireland and findng it really hard to track down. Any help greatly appreciated! Would mabey ship one over from England if it was cheap enough.
Possibly a K3-VE engine. Popular in other Daihatsu Models.
The Terios 1.3 engine sounds like the 1.3 litre K3-VE 16valve. A lot of Daihatsu models share this engine. The YRV, mark II boxy looking Sirion and latter euro spec Copens share this engine. You need to check the engine stamp on your Terios to make sure. The only difference is the older Sirion (Mark I), has the K3-V2 engine and may not be a direct transfer, although that engine has more power @ 101 Bhp compared to the VE that has 86Bhp.
