Hi everyone I have just purchased a Daihatsu Charade and really like it in particular the engine.
The car was stood for long periods and used for short trips.

I suspect this accounts for the milky deposits on rocker as no other symptons of head failure.

The other issue or not is a whoosh shushing metalic sound when driving through the gears.It is not excessive however it does concern me and at this stage is more of an annoyance.

Really appreciate anyone's thoughts on this One other the idle is very lumpy and fluctuates wildly when coming to a halt you thing the engine will stall but does not?
