Hi guys I just found this forum and I hope I can find some help here.
My Japanese Import Terios is currently having some issues. It has an HC-EJ engine and I would prefer doing an engine swap. I currently live in Malta and everybody is telling me to get rid of it but its the best vehicle I've ever had.

I would like to know if a Toyota Yaris/ Vitz engine can be put in with out any major issues. I know there will be wiring and stuff. Im asking because over here Toyota engines are really common. My engine has a timing belt. I'd prefer if the new engine is with the timing chain. Do the Toyota engines with timing chain bolt on to my existing gearbox?
