Hi,

I have a K reg Sportrak and the rear wiper blade was worn so I went to Halfords where a chap gave me a 14" wiper blade he said was correct. Having got home the new wiper looks about 1 and a half inches smaller than the existing one although it looks like the same fitting.

Now I'm used to wipers with a standard fitting but the Sportrak seems to have a really strange fitting with a silver pin going through the wiper blade housing. My question is how do I get the pin off the existing wiper blade and onto the new one?? On most cars I thought the replacement just sort of clips onto the blade holder but this looks a bit different.

Would appreciate any help you can offer.
