Hi, I have a Sportrak 1600 16v EFi and stupidly i left the sidelights on which ment i needed a push start in reverse as the truck was faced nose up on an incline, as i let the cluch out in reverse the car seemed to lock up. When i eventuly got it started by bumpstarting it in 2nd gear, forwards it now has a VERY LOUD gear meshing whiring noise that seems to be a lot faster than the road speed, I drove it back on the drive (20ft) and took the spare car. The gear selector lever also now seems very stiff. Has anybody out there had the same problem? My initial thoughts are poss a broken reverse selector fork or reverse idler still in mesh in forward gears. Please reply as i need the truck to tow with soon. Thanks.
