I've just bought a 92 uk reg sportrack for my wife to use as my sj suzuki off roader is a little agricultral (her words not mine) everything is great with it and she is realy happy with it . the other day the exhaust started to blow on the front pipe so off i went to quikfit to get a new frontpipe where i am told my two piece exhaust is off of a 1990 model and that if it were a 92 it would have a cat and it would be injected were as ours has a carb is this the case 
could some one have changed the exhaust and had a carb conversion, and if so why would they do this and is it worth changeing back if poss

Compulsory cats for UK MOT's were required from Autumn 1992 onwards.
Yours is normal if it's a no cat carb model, basically the exhaust from 1990 model is the same.
If I recall 1990 to 1991 EFi's started to appear but some carb models were still being shifted through to 1992 ish.
