I've looked into this
I've looked into this too.
Superchips? - Nope!
Powerchips - Nah!
BBR/Starchips - Sorry!
You might be able to get your ECU modded or 'piggy backed' with a custom chip as a one off. Highly likely to be big £££'s though, so I never went any further with getting quotes etc.
Let us know if you have any luck.
I'm guessing you've done the K&N/extractors/de-cat route? good gains to be had from all three.

CHIPPING
I have bought a PIGGY BACK chip that fools the ECU into thinking the engine is running colder so boosts the fuelinput. I haven't fitted it as I now don't like the sound of it and think it may do more harm than good and may bugger the cat or worse still wash the lubrication from the cyliders and wear the engine by making the engine always run rich. MOT emissions will be affected but they say remove it to cover this. That statement made my mind up but I had already purchased it. They claim a 20% improved power and no loss of MPG and infact an increase plus no damage. I got the chip from ebay cheap, £8.99?,FIVE MINUTES TO FIT,no wire cutting etc. It sounded great but as I say I have had second thoughts. I know someone who had a similar fitted to an VW PASSAT TDI and the improvement was obvious AND HE SINGS ITS PRAISES, so pay yer money and take yer chances.
I'm sure asyou have already been advised remapping the ECU may be a better route to go down although much more expensive.
Hope this has been of help but suspect it has been more confusing for you.

i had one of these on my old
i had one of these on my old bmw, they cost pennies and are basically a resistor which fools your ecu into thinking that the air flowing through your filter is cooler than it really is, thus injecting more petrol to compensate.
this is where the extra power comes from, you may feel it but you will also me damaging your engine and your mpg will reduce significantly.
so.. your injecting too much petrol, and you engine has no idea what the temperature of the air is coming into your car. not good. just decat, fit a k&n and maybe a new camshaft.
otherwise you may be fitting a new engine soon.
PM me if you need Sportrak Help..
