Forum:
I have recently fitted heavy duty shock absorbers to the rear of my sporty in place of electric ones, but they are very hard, is this normal? I havn't yet replaced the front ones, but if i do would this make it better or worst?
Also are there any off road places in surrey, kent or hampshire where i can take it for a bit of a raz, nothing to extreme though coz im new to off roading.
Finally, wanted to get the soft top ready on the sporty and realise i have the a frame and canopy, but i have lost all the pins, studs and straps that fasten the canopy to the a frame and car. Can anyone help me out?
Cheers

Heavy Duty Shocks
I've replaced mine with H/D shocks at the rear, mainly because the electric ones are hard to find and really expensive. i dont think they are that good anyway.
I havent noticed any harshness though but my leaf springs are the 4 or 5 leaf ones which are firm anyway. My later ANJOU had 3 leaf type leaf springs and do not have adjustable shocks and that is a lot more supple a ride.
I live in France so can't help you on the RAZ side. ry brusing trough a 4x4 Mag.
As for the softop I have one but absolutely hate it. The fit is rubbish, the time taken to raise it is silly and for the price of £400 from Daihatsu the thing is CRAP. On the first fit one of the locking clips behind the offside door removed itself, with ease, from the hood so now flaps about. On the positive side try ebay, they often come up complete and go very cheap, certainly cheaper, perhaps, than you buying the pins and clips, if they are available which I doubt.
