I went to change the timing belt on my Rocky and after pulling it apart I discovered Helical Gears and to my huge surprise no belt.
My parts supplier is as mystified as I am. Can anyone help.

The earlier 2.8's were gear
The earlier 2.8's were gear drive. It should have an alloy timing cover. This confirms it. The belted 2.8's have plastic covers. Growing old is compulsary, growing up isnt.
