The body is only bolted down
The body is only bolted down in about 8-10 places.
Rear wheel arches should not fail the MOT on chassised car, as long as there are no 'dangerous to pedestrians' sticky out bits / raged edges. I'd weld them up myself.
From the state of it, I'd say you either want to compleatly rebuld it / weld everything up. Then attack it with body filler. I did this, and it took 2 monthes of 3-4 hours a day 4 days a week.
You may want to consider getting a fiberglass 'kit' body for it. Or chopping the rear body off, truck cab the front, put a flat bed on the back, and make up some 'square' landrover style wings.
Which ever method you go for will take some time.
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
